What We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate EdgeBets:

• Email address — when you subscribe to pick alerts or enter the bracket challenge.
• Display name — if you enter the bracket challenge (shown on the public leaderboard).
• Usage data — pages visited, referral source, and device type, collected through Google Analytics 4. This data is aggregated and not linked to your identity.

We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or sensitive personal data.

How We Use Your Data

• Sending daily pick alerts to subscribers
• Operating the bracket challenge leaderboard
• Understanding site usage to improve the product

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Resend — for sending email notifications. Your email address is shared with Resend solely for delivery purposes.
• Google Analytics 4 — for anonymous site analytics. GA4 uses cookies to track page views and user behavior in aggregate.
• Affiliate partners — links to licensed sportsbooks may use tracking cookies. These partners have their own privacy policies.

Data Retention

Subscriber email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Bracket challenge data is retained for the duration of the tournament season and may be deleted afterward. Analytics data is retained per Google's standard retention policies (14 months).

Your Rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent and request deletion of your data
• Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in every email
