March Madness 2026 Predictions — AI Bracket
Conference championships are underway and Selection Sunday is less than a week away. Our AI model has been analyzing college basketball all season — every game, every matchup, every trend — and it's ready for the tournament.
What We Analyze
Our advanced statistical model evaluates dozens of factors for every matchup. On offense: shooting efficiency from every zone, free throw rates, assist-to-turnover ratios, and offensive rebounding. On defense: opponent shooting percentages, block and steal rates, and how teams force turnovers without fouling.
Beyond raw stats, the model accounts for tempo — how fast or slow teams play matters enormously in tournament settings. A high-tempo team facing a grind-it-out opponent creates a specific matchup dynamic that basic rankings miss. The model also factors in strength of schedule, recent form, and how teams perform in different game situations.
All of this feeds into a prediction engine that calculates win probabilities for every potential matchup. For the bracket, we run thousands of Monte Carlo simulations to estimate each team's probability of advancing to every round.
Conference Tournament Trends
Conference tournaments offer valuable late-season data. Teams are playing elimination games with tournament intensity, and how they perform here often previews their NCAA Tournament readiness.
A few things our model is tracking:
Dominant favorites holding form. The top teams in major conferences have generally continued winning when it matters. This is a positive signal — when favorites hold seed in conference tournaments, it suggests the regular-season hierarchy is real, not an artifact of weak scheduling.
Mid-major contenders separating. Several mid-major conferences have seen clear separation between tournament-ready teams and the rest. Teams that can win multiple games in a few days against motivated opponents tend to carry that momentum into March.
Defensive improvements. Teams that tighten up defensively in conference tournaments — lower opponent shooting percentages, fewer turnovers — tend to be better tournament bets than teams riding hot shooting.
Power Rankings Preview
Our power rankings are updated daily and factor in every game through the conference tournaments. These rankings feed directly into our bracket predictions once the field is set.
The top tier of college basketball this season features several teams with elite efficiency on both ends of the floor. What separates contenders from pretenders in March is usually defense and rebounding — the stats that remain consistent when offenses go cold in high-pressure games.
Check our daily picks for conference tournament predictions throughout the week. Every pick is published before tip-off and tracked transparently on our track record.
The Bracket Challenge
This year we're launching something new: the bracket challenge. Once the field is announced on Selection Sunday, our AI model generates its bracket — and you can fill out yours to compete against it.
We'll score both brackets live as the tournament plays out. Can your basketball instincts beat a data-driven model? Sign up at edgebets.ca/bracket-challenge to get notified the moment the bracket drops.
